# Sources & Citations

> This is the key HeyAmos report for you to understand how to improve visibility.

AI models check and cite multiple sources when answering questions.

To get your brand included in AI responses, you need to identify which sources and content types these models use for your vertical. When you understand this you can produce content for your brand that will get cited by AI models – thus increasing your visibility.

**Strategic insights from source analysis:**

* If competitors’ blog posts are visibility drivers → publish more content in similar style
* If media mentions are the main source → start with PR
* If review sites dominate → focus on G2/Trustpilot reviews

HeyAmos breaks down sources and citations on aggregate, as well as for each separate prompt and Ai model.

### **Competitor citations**

If a competitor has higher visibility for one of the prompts you're tracking, then citations give you the insight into what content is working for them. Then you can reverse-engineer and produce similar content for your brand.

In the example below we can see how a page about Skytrax awards is helping Qatar Airways have strong visibility for the prompt "What's the best airline to fly from Singapore to Europe". This is an insight that Singapore Airlines can use to produce similar content on its website.

### **Your Top Website Pages**

Your own website will typically impact many AI answers. HeyAmos shows which of your website pages are being cited and how many prompts they impact. Optimizing and creating new content for your website is a good start to doing GEO.
